New opioid agonist treatment prescribing standards for NPs coming soon

New nurse practitioner standards, limits and conditions have been approved by the CRNBC board. The new standards will set out the requirements for both induction (initiation) and continuation/maintenance prescribing of opioid agonist treatment for opioid use disorder. It's important to note these standards, limits and conditions are not yet in effect.

First Nations Health Authority clients are transitioning to PharmaCare

On October 1, 2017 all First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) clients will become beneficiaries of the BC PharmaCare program. This means NPs will be able to fill drug prescriptions for FNHA clients via the PharmaCare plan.
