Why should you trust the College?
We understand nurses may sometimes feel hesitant to reach out to the College. We want to change that. So, why should you trust the College? Our Registrar/CEO, Cynthia Johansen, tackles this question.
Two-thirds of NPs still need to renew
One-third of NPs have renewed their registration. The remaining group has less than four weeks left until the renewal deadline. We think NPs will find it easier to renew this year, as we recently streamlined online renewal based on nurses' feedback. Anyone who does not renew by 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2015 will be unable to legally work as a nurse until they reinstate their registration and pay an additional reinstatement fee of $211.50.

Registration renewal was not on Celice's mind during her two-month travels. Now back from her trip, she is heading into work when realization hits her like a steamer trunk; her registration has expired.

What does CRNBC do with my quality assurance data?
I am a nurse practitioner working in a physician’s private fee-for-service office. The physician is submitting MSP billings for services I provide. Is CRNBC concerned about these billing practices in this care model?
Nursing Matters is one of our official methods for communicating with nurses. CRNBC registrants are legally required to receive this newsletter, which contains updates about standards and other news affecting nurses' practice.
