To be eligible for an elected position on the CRNBC Board, a registrant must be a practising registered nurse or nurse practitioner in good standing with CRNBC and must ordinarily reside in British Columbia.
The task of obtaining candidates for election to the Board rests with the Nominations Committee, composed of three registrants and one public representative.
The Call for Board Nominations is published in the electronic newsletter distributed to all registrants and posted on the CRNBC website.
Nominations for elected CRNBC board positions can be made by any five CRNBC registrants in good standing who are eligible to vote in an election for that office.
Election ballots are mailed to all CRNBC registrants in good standing and returned to the election trustee by a specified deadline date. Voting takes place only for contested positions. Positions filled by acclamation do not require a vote.
Information on Board candidates, including candidate statements and photographs, will be posted on this website in late March and published in the April newsletters.
Competed nomination forms are due to CRNBC by 1600 hours, Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.
Elections ballots for the contested positions will be mailed in late June to registrants in good standing.
Completed election ballots are returned to the election trustee. The election trustee conducts the ballot count in mid-August.
After Board candidates have been contacted with the ballot count results, the information will be published in the electronic newsletters and posted on the college website.
