Duties

The Education Program Review Committee (EPRC) reviews nursing education programs and qualifying courses required by applicants for registration and makes recommendations about whether the Board should recognize them for the purpose of registration, and any terms or conditions of recognition. The Committee also regularly reviews and recommends policies and procedures pertaining to the review of nursing education programs and courses.​

Composition

Registrants: Nurse educators; nurse administrators; and practice registrants.

External: Health care employers representative; member of a non-nursing health care profession; administrator of a post-secondary educational institution; and an educator nominated by the Ministry of Advanced Education.

Meetings

In-person (with the option of participating by conference call): eight to twelve meetings (full day) a year. If required, one or two conference call meetings. The subject matter determines the length of the conference call.

Pre-Meeting Preparation

Between six to eight hours.​​​​​
