CRNBC on April 25, 2017, suspended Edgardo Santiago of Victoria, B.C. for five months as part of a consensual agreement reached to address his inappropriate conduct of a sexualized nature with a colleague in the workplace.
Mr. Santiago has also agreed to complete significant coursework on harassment in the workplace; if coursework is complete within three months, the suspension may be reduced to that duration. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that these terms will protect the public.
Nurses are reminded that overtly sexual behaviour, sexually harassing a colleague or bullying in the workplace are unacceptable behaviours.
