CRNBC awards program update

posted Sept. 29, 2014

Through the awards program nurses have honoured colleagues for their outstanding contributions to the profession and demonstrating excellence in relation to the CRNBC Professional Standards for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.

In 2014, 36 nurses were chosen by their peers to receive Awards of Excellence. These exceptional nurses were honoured at a ceremony in September 2014 in Vancouver.

Transferring the awards program to ARNBC

CRNBC is focusing its work on regulatory matters related to the nursing profession and public protection.

Beginning in 2015, the Association of Registered Nurses of BC (ARNBC) will manage a nursing awards program and host a ceremony instead of CRNBC.

The ARNBC awards event is planned for November 2015.

Information about the nomination process and applications will be available from ARNBC early in 2015. In the meantime if you have any questions, please contact ARNBC at

We invite you to watch the video below, which was screened at the Nursing Excellence Awards ceremony.
