Supervising Students: new learning module

Whether working with students as learners or as Employed Students Nurses (ESNs), RNs have always supervised students in these roles. However, nurses in education and clinical settings have asked for more clarity around RN and NP responsibilities. Therefore, the Regulatory Supervision and Employed Student Registrant Practice Standards were introduced to define these responsibilities. These practice standards help everyone understand their role when working with student learners and ESNs. It guides the process nurses choose to use with students and clarifies their accountabilities. To help put these new Standards into practice, we produced the Working with Students learning module.
