The continuing competence requirements that nurses have been meeting for the past 11 years are part of the College’s Quality Assurance program.

posted Oct. 22, 2012

The continuing competence requirements that nurses have been meeting for the past 11 years are part of the College’s Quality Assurance program. For nurse practitioners, the evaluation will focus on the onsite peer review of practice as well as continuing competence requirements. For registered nurses, the focus is on continuing competence requirements.

A management consulting firm, Ference Weicker & Company, will conduct the evaluation. As part of this process, they will survey NPs and RNs online and by telephone. You can expect to receive a survey or be contacted sometime in November.

We would appreciate your participation. Your feedback will help us improve the design and effectiveness of the QA program. If you don’t receive a survey, and would like to participate — or if you have any questions or comments about the survey or the QA program — please email us.
