Boundaries in the Nurse-Client Relationship

The Practice Standard Boundaries in the Nurse-Client Relationship has been revised, and now common to all nursing designations in the province.
posted Dec. 20, 2012

CRNBC is pleased to announce the publication of our first shared Practice Standard, Boundaries in the Nurse-Client Relationship , in collaboration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of BC.

This joint Practice Standard is the result of professional collaboration at the leadership level, and evidence of the shared values of nurses from all professional designations. It also underlines the common mandate of the more than 52,000 nurses in this province — Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs).
