Professional practice issues

Nurses take action to promote the provision of safe, appropriate and ethical care to clients.

As a nurse, you may face challenges that impact your ability to provide safe, appropriate and ethical care to clients. In these situations, nurses use professional judgment, ethical decision making and work with others to promote care consistent with the standards of the profession.

This section provides resources to address professional practice issues and problems that nurses may not be able to be resolve at the individual level. CRNBC encourages a collaborative approach to resolving professional practice problems. The goal is safe, competent and ethical care for clients.
