CRNBC is changing how deferrals are requested and approved for the NP onsite review requirement. These changes will affect all nurse practitioners who request a deferral in 2017.
We will be sending more detailed information about the changes to NPs who are selected for review in 2017.
The NP onsite review is an important part of NP Quality Assurance requirements. By participating in CRNBC's Quality Assurance Program throughout the year, NPs indicate to the public that they are maintaining their competence to practise and that they take their professional development obligation seriously.
These reviews also support our shared goal of ensuring the public receive safe, competent and ethical care.
