Multi-source feedback research

posted Oct. 29, 2015

Questionnaire delves into nurses' thoughts on multi-source feedback

We're currently conducting a questionnaire on multi-source feedback. About 10,000 CRNBC registrants will receive an email asking them to complete a 20-minute survey. The questionnaire is open until Nov. 12, 2015.

If you'd like to be considered for future CRNBC research, please sign into your account and update your communication preferences. Check the Send me invitations to provide feedback and/or participate in the work of the College box.

What is multi-source feedback?
Multi-source feedback is one part of CRNBC's quality assurance program. It is a method of collecting feedback from your colleagues about your observable professional behaviours as they relate to the Professional Standards.

How will multi-source feedback work?
Nurses will complete a self-assessment questionnaire and then invite their colleagues to complete a similar questionnaire about their observable behaviours.

After the questionnaires are completed, nurses will be able to review their own self-assessment and their colleagues' averaged feedback. Nurses will not be able to identify their colleagues' individual feedback.

When will multi-source feedback be introduced?
Multi-source feedback will be introduced in 2018-19. Nurses will participate in multi-source feedback once every few years.
