Updated information: Administering immunoprophylactic agents to prevent RSV

Posted Nov. 26, 2015

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) has updated information on the BC RSV Immunoprophylaxis Program. Find out what's new for the 2015-16 RSV season on page 3 of the RSV Manual 2015-16.

CRNBC limits and conditions require RNs who administer immunoprophylactic agents to prevent respiratory syncytial virus infection (RSV) to possess the competencies and follow the decision support tools established by PHSA. See page 25 in Scope of Practices for Registered Nurses: Standards, Limits and Conditions for a link to this information. Competencies can also be found on page 11 of the RSV Manual 2015-2016.
