Critical Review of Client Records for NPs

posted March 21, 2014

As a nurse practitioner, one of your professional development requirements is to conduct an annual critical review of your client records. This review is a good opportunity to consider how your documentation captures the care you give.

CRNBC provides NPs with a structured chart review tool based on competencies required for NPs in B.C. that can help get you started. When you review your client documentation, you should be evaluating client health care management and outcomes against appropriate evidence.

Email if you have questions.
