The Limitation Act was enacted on June 1, 2013, and the Limitation periods have changed. This affects the time limits for the retention and destruction of health care records.

As a result, Principle 10 of the CRNBC Documentation Practice Standard is now out of date. The standard is currently being revised, and will be available mid-2014.
