English requirements

Use the self-assessment tools to see if you meet the requirements for registration.

All applicants must meet CRNBC's English requirements.
If you have completed the NNAS process, you may still need to provide us with English fluency test results. English fluency fact sheet (PDF)

Even if English is one of the official languages in your country, you may still be required to demonstrate English fluency. Best practices have shown that objective standardized testing is the best method for verifying English fluency.

You may need to demonstrate English fluency if one of the following applies to you:

  • there is any question of your fluency
  • English is not your first language
